<h5>Developmental Editing</h5>
<p>Also called substantive or structural editing, this level is for authors who would like assistance in spotting structural flaws, plot holes, or other major areas of improvement on their draft.
The feedback and assistance will allow you to clarify and/or reorganize your outline for content and structure or rewrite a draft that just isn’t working or flowing. The suggested changes may be discussed by way of phone or online communications and will also be provided in written form.

copyediting and line editing
This level consists of a full check on spelling, grammar, punctuation, capitalization, numbers, hyphen use, content, style, word usage, plus checks for wordiness, internal consistency of facts (spelling and usage of character names, locations, POV and tense) and overall clarity.
Manuscript will be assessed for use of passive voice, overused words, syntax errors, dangling participles, and correct and effective dialogue tagging.
Liberal use of in-line markings and comments.
2¢ per word (USD) for one full in-depth pass over your manuscript.
<h5>Proofreading</h5>
<p style="font-size: 16px; font-style: normal;">This is for authors who have completed the heavy editing and structural changes and want a final check on the spelling, grammar, punctuation, capitalization, numbers, hyphen use or other minor errors that have slipped by. I will proofread most genres.</p><p style="font-size: 16px; font-style: normal;">1¢ per word (USD) from Word Manuscript.<br /></p><p style="font-size: 16px; font-style: normal;">2¢ per word (USD) from typeset PDF if a comparison to the original edited manuscript and checks for formatting issues.</p>

Formatting
<p style="font-size: 16px; font-style: normal;">Professional formatting for EPUB format that can be uploaded to all major retailers or creating a PDF file with correct formatting for either KDP or Ingram POD services for any genre.</p><p style="font-size: 16px; font-style: normal;">Cost:</p><p style="font-size: 16px; font-style: normal;">$40 per hour (USD)</p><p style="font-size: 16px; font-style: normal;"> </p><p style="font-size: 16px; font-style: normal;">I am happy to discuss your particular needs and give you an estimate on the total cost.</p><p style="font-size: 16px; font-style: normal;"><strong>Please note:</strong></p><p style="font-size: 16px; font-style: normal;">If you have graphics, maps, footnotes, bibliographies etc to be included, these will increase the number of hours required to complete your project.</p>
